\”I waxed and throve well;
Word from word gave words to me,
Deed from deed gave deeds to me.\”

Havamal, or Sayings of the High One

The pieces that follow are expressions, extensions and musings; considerations, exegeses and discussions on matters that interest me. I would like, if I may, to invite you to embrace the thoughts within them not as any attempt to produce definitive truth or prove any theory. Rather, that you accept them in the spirit of enquiry, as strivings towards understanding.

They are an act of Love, a desiring towards something greater, than the sum of their parts. Φιλία + Σοφíα combined into philosophy, an engine of desire designed to recall the wonder and awe and fullness of the whole; a Gnostic becoming of furious joy – a search for Sophia in all things, an unveiling of Her beauty!

Thus, without further ado, I present:

MEAD & RAVENS – An Essay originally published by the talismanic publishers Scarlet Imprint in their book DATURA: An Anthology of Esoteric Poesis

CHROMEA fevered foray into an alternate cyberpunk future which explores the notion of Deleuzian  war machines and the tellurian gravity of the hollow void. Originally written for Hyperstition.

NO REST FOR THE WICKED – A Walpurgisnacht meditation on witchcraft and wickedness, originally appearing at Dionysian Atavism.

THE IoM ESSAYS – These are not yet available, but are written for the anthology entitled Immanence of Myth which is being edited by James Curcio, author of Join My Cult which is published by Original Falcon –  and whose stable has included Robert Anton Wilson, Dr Christopher Hyatt and Lon Milo DuQuette to name a few!

Highlights include:

  • Meditation on myth via autopsy
  • Taliesin as exemplar of shape-shifting
  • Beowulf, Grendel and the mythic hero
  • Cannibalism as path to power and influence in the modern world.

Publication is due in 2011.
